Kerri Moore

Hello! My career began in '02 here at MZE. I also did my student teaching here in '01 in Kindergarten. I was a homeroom teacher for 17 years and taught Kindergarten, first, second, and third grade. I was the EIP Reading teacher for the 4 years after that. Now I am back in 3rd grade as a homeroom teacher.

I graduated high school in '98 from Henry County High. I received my Associate's degree in Psychology and Early Childhood in '00 from Gordon College, my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood (PK-5) in '02 from the University of West Georgia, and my Master's degree in Literacy (PK-12) in '06 from Lesley University. I received my Gifted endorsement in '24. 

I am really looking forward to all that my students will learn and the new strategies they will gain this year! I know the students will achieve so much with all of us working together, and I can't wait to witness their growth! We are in for an amazing year!

I love being a MZ Eagle and my husband Bo and I have two eagles of our own! Our daughter, Kaydence, graduated from Mt. Zion High School in '24 as the class valedictorian. She was a varsity cheerleader, played bass drum in the marching band, and was an active member of many school clubs. Our son, Braydon, is currently a student at Mt. Zion High School and will graduate in 2028. He plays saxophone in the marching band, and is also a member of many of the school clubs. We love our community and being a part of it! GO EAGLES!!
